Moving this question to High End Firewalls category

@BobAlston, So, you are accessing a remote PC using SSLVPN and want to map a drive on the remote PC that belongs to the machine that you made the connection with? We use SSLVPN as a client VPN so that the remote resources are made accessible. I do not think that communication would work in the reverse direction. Permanent…

@Charlie_2021, If you are having trouble finding something in the new UI, please use this global search button. You will get direct links to the page you are looking for. Also, moving this question to the Entry Level Firewalls category. I hope this helps in the future. Thanks!

@Destavener, Yes, the CFS policies that you have added are based on usernames/user groups. If there is a new device that is not part of the domain, the appropriate policy based on priority would get applied if the user cannot be authenticated. Also, for such situations, I would suggest creating an IP based rule temporarily…

@LJ_Tech, I agree with @John_Lasersohn. It would be best to handle this over a support case. Kindly attach the data as mentioned by him and our support team will further analyze the cause of this issue. Thanks!
-
@LJ_Tech , First of all, please make sure that you're on the latest general release that is 6.5.4.7. Also, while this issue takes place, are you able to access it using SSH? If yes, TSR collected during the time of the issue can definitely reveal some information as to what could be going on. Thanks!

@samaj , I apologise for the delayed response. If you do not wish to turn off low priority checks completely, you can just disable low priority ICMP IPS checks or add certain public IPs to the IPS exclusion list. Honestly, the recommended settings is to have the low priority IPS set to just detect and not prevent. Thanks!

@gmenon, 802.3af can deliver 15.4 watts whereas delivers 802.3at is about 25.5 W. So, unfortunately, I don't think that will be sufficient for the SonicWAVE. We do ship out PoE injectors along with the SonicWAVEs, so you can use them to power the SonicWAVEs. Thank you!

@gmenon, Right now most of the models that you are using have external antennas. You are right, due to the external antennas, the E models provide better signal strengths and hence provide better performance. Thanks!
-
@gmenon, Welcome to the SonicWall Community. What model of SonicPoints are you using at the moment? Honestly, the only difference between those two is the antennas. 432e has external antennas whereas 432i has internal antennas. Thanks!

@MPERU99, Most of this information about the firewall in question itself is available in the CTA report as mentioned by @MasterRoshi. I checked some more internally and was informed to file this as feedback. For your reference, the Request ID is 5639. Thanks!

@scottkeen, I tried testing L2TP on R906 on a TZ 370 and see that the packets are being dropped as 'fails to handle L2TP pkt'. I am not sure if it is the same case on your firewall, but this definitely needs to go through a support ticket. Thanks!

Perfect! Glad I could help! Have a good one!

@Destavener, In the CFS priority, I see that the default CFS policy is at priority 1. Kindly use the Staff and Teachers policies with a higher priority and then the CFS default policy. You can use the arrow available on the policy to change the priority. The SonicWall would use the SSO agent to find the username logged in…
-
@Destavener, If the users are used for applying the CFS policies, then the firewall should know which IP address belongs to what user. We usually suggest using SSO agent so that we can identify the username logged into a specific machine. So, basically, you should be able to see the users identified under the MONITOR |…
