OK, list of available options: Did you take a back-up of the Registry before deleting those entries? If so, restore them. If not, do a System Restore and "go back in time" to where you hadn't uninstalled. In either case, you should be able to use one of the wiper utilities. If none of that works, manually rescan the…

@gsitton - agree with @Ajeesh and using Revo to uninstall. Oh, and for sake of your computer's hygiene, uninstall Revo after you've completed the installation of the GVC. You don't want to leave it hanging around.

@gsitton You can try using this Microsoft utility: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/windows-fix-problems-that-block-programs-being-installed-or-removed Run it for Uninstall and if Global VPN is not listed, select the "it's not on the list" option. After it is done with cleanup, reboot. Try the installation…

@Charlie_2021 On the home page (or dashboard) of your TZ270w, click on the Policy "tab" along the top "menu" (I am putting these words in quotes because I do not know the official SonicWall terminology and because they really aren't those things, either). Now, on the left-hand menu, click the Security Services label to…

@Saravanan while I appreciate the response, it is - almost verbatim - what's on the available help panel. A browser speed test reflects a huge jump when taken off Maximum, which leads me to believe that there's some serious scanning done. I was looking for more specific information as to what, exactly at that "lower…

Just saw this "holiday" news pop up on my new SentinelOne console: Dec 24, 2020 New Agent Version Released macOS Agent 4.6 GA (4.6.10.3673) was released! Version Highlights: Support for macOS Big Sur, Apple's new major OS release (11.0) and macOS Catalina (10.15) The Agent uses user-space APIs instead of Kernel Extensions,…

Necro-posting here because LogMeIn apparently uses a SLEW of IP addresses to distribute updates to client computers. I keep getting these notices and the IP address invariably changes from week to week. In this particular case, this is a spurious alert. How can I get rid of it without adversely affecting the security of…

OK, I'll bite (I'm a sucker for this kind of click-bait)! I don't recall if I ever went to the former site, so I don't know what it looked like; this is a fresh impression. You've got a Recommended category of five items. You've got a Popular Resources of three items. Same for Federal. Same for Hot Topics, and Case…

Trusted in the Zone configuration is the highest security level - you want it for the LAN. What I believe you are concerned about is "Allow Interface Trust" - and that should NOT be permitted on your LAN2 because you don't want them talking with one another. Read through the descriptions of all the settings for the "Add…

@MSYFlyer , possibly in a simpler environment you'd do the following: Set up a new Zone, say LAN2 with a Security type of "Trusted" Set up the Interface by selecting X3, if that's what you want, and assign it to Zone LAN2 with a Static IP. Give it a base IP address in a subnet that is not currently being used by any of…

@MasterRoshi , I appreciate it. There are only three POE switches in one cabinet for this client. But, based on your suggestion, I'd rather pull the three power cords and provide a single interface.

Just as a final note to this episode. Because I had gone back in time to get a file, I was missing one important set of functionality: I had set up a schedule for the site to accommodate EST and DST. These schedules are used by the Access Points. The settings were not present after I completed installation yesterday. I…

One of the problems with finding things with the current MySonicWall design is that it requires you to DO SOMETHING before you see the hidden actions that can be taken. Specifically: If you don't check any item, you won't see that a menu bar suddenly appears (and overlays the existing menu bar). If you don't click the…
