  • @manish You would have to let us know what firewall model you have, what firmware level you are running, and what security services are subscribed and active on your firewall for any of us make the appropriate recommendations.
  • @BWC so if you go to this screen in the NSa are you not permitted to select the "Logs on Storage" option unless you also select Secondary in the Storage Device Type dropdown?
  • Log into your MySonicwall account. On the left hand menu, select Download Center, and then select By Product line. In the product drop down (second from left) enter SOHO250 The resulting list shows ALL versions. Unfortunately, the latest version 11-97n is not the first shown on the list: Hope that helps! Larry
  • @Micah / @Ena - could someone please contact the folks in the Technical Documentation section and have them include some kind of differentiator? The linked page only shows one option when it is clear there are (at least) two flavors. Thanks!
  • @BW57 Michael, where - exactly - are you seeing these two options? Because, despite what it says on this page https://www.sonicwall.com/support/technical-documentation/docs/sonicos-7-0-0-0-device_settings/Content/Topics/Firmware_Settings/restart-system.htm/ I've only got a Restart System button - but then I'm using a…
  • @SimonT Interesting observation. The latest OS7 book I could find on the Technical Documentation website is: SonicOS Rules and Policies Administration Guide Updated - January 2022 Software Version - 7 232-005343-10 Rev B It does not describe these fields, nor how they should operate. It seems SonicWall likes to keep…
  • Oh FFS! Every table/list page in the product has the actions on the top. And yet... Heading: Rules and Policies Category: Access Rules - actions on bottom Category: NAT Rules - actions on bottom Category: Routing Rules - actions on bottom Category: Content Filter Rules - actions on top Category: App Rules - actions on top…
  • Stupid person here falling into trap of WeTransfer files not uploading (and it is imperative they get to a SOC). How, exactly, in a Gen 7 device, do you add a new Access Rule? I do not see any form of "add" on this page: What am I missing? Thanks! Larry
  • Hmm... Didn't notice this shortcoming of Gen 7 devices. But now that I do, I can see how it could be annoying. More than likely it was omitted because the thought-process was that everyone would be using NSM to manage their fleet. And NSM, by its very implementation, prevents multiple devices from being open in browser…
  • Today, August 23, I got the following email from Support about my case: I had called you to inform that the fix has been pushed to the firewall TZ270W, serial number ([redacted]). Please could you check and confirm and also please let us know if there are any other serial numbers to be fixed. To find out if the message no…
  • Paging @Bob VanKirk! Maybe you could consider pushing this functional enhancement. (Although, truthfully, SW devs have a hard enough time getting the base products to work. Getting new ideas implemented could be a very long, and painful experience...)
  • @rachelgomez123 the information you posted (above) appears to be copied pretty much directly from here: https://supportportal.juniper.net/s/article/ScreenOS-Removing-NSM-Configuration-from-a-Firewall-Device?language=en_US And that page describes a Juniper product not a SonicWall product. Juniper's Network and Security…
  • Best I can think of - without any research - is to go into MySonicWall, click on Product Management and select My Products. Select a device from Tenant B and click Transfer Products (right side of lower menu) to send it to Tenant A. When done moving all, delete Tenant B. Hope that helps.
  • Support team on the ticket has gone an extra step and they are telling me that the information transfers in all test cases. It seems that my migration was one with a hiccup that is not reproducable. Sigh...
  • @xdmfanboy - I saw a posting on Reddit in the morning, confirmed in my Download Center, and in the late afternoon received a SonicWall email informing me of not only this, but the Gen 6.5 Version 6.5.4.11-97n - Maintenance Release. Larry
