You, sir, win this one. Somehow - and I still haven't figured this out - the Common Group was included in the BCDR Group. When I tried to add the Common Group of course it was going to say there was a conflict. Thanks!

@BWC - yes it does. But shouldn't that alert have hit when I added them to the Datto BCDR Group? I mean, they are both in that one group - and there is an overlap. As they are in the TZ600. Funny it should holler an error about the BCDR Group and the Common Group. That doesn't make any sense. So I removed the FQDN from the…

@jtpryan - Yep, that's the design feature of these "Next Generation" firewalls. Pull the plug, lose the data - same as in Gen 6 and Gen 6.5. Suggest you open the GUI in your browser and change the word mgmt to diag erase the rest of the URL and press Enter. Click the Internal Settings button. Change the Trace Log drop-down…

Not to make light of your awful experience, but. Well, the suggestion i got from support was to restart the sonicwalls in safe mode....locally. That would require about 1000 miles, multiple over night trips and numerous hours to do so. Perfect definition of "Zero Touch"... LOL!

I submitted a Support case and have been told there is an RFE now (request ID 5078). However, I just received a new TZ 670 and, sure enough, these entries appear as Default Address Groups (NO Migration tool used): McAfee Client AV Enforcement List Excluded from McAfee Client AV Enforcement List Excluded from Client AV…

@Thomas_Buergis you have a worthwhile request. However, nothing will come of it from this forum. You have to send the request to your SonicWall channel account manager or sales team to get it to the proper product queue...

Hmm, sounds familiar, because I had that kind of problem exporting data from NSM. I'm inclined to believe that it is the same base code with a similar lack of proper functionality. And even if I'm wrong and it is completely different code, it is shocking that: a) this was not on someone's list to test. b) it was on…

Wow, what a long list of fixes! Looks like those guys have been playing whack-a-mole with these bugs over the past two months. I'm left wondering if there's ever going to be stabilization...

if you try to convert a 600 to the 670 with the current firmware you'll have this issue This statement worries me to a very great extent. Is there any way to confirm it? Is there any mechanism that would indicate why? Asking SonicWall representatives to step up, please.

Actually, licensing should be activated for your device, period. It has nothing to do with a "feature" like port forwarding. Follow this procedure to synchronize your existing licensing: Then, I suggest you upgrade your firmware (latest link is shown in this thread): Afterwards, check to see that you can access the…

Updating this thread. In my case, GAV won't let the file download in the first place: And, of course, I can't use the previous response to submit a "false positive" to SonicWall because I don't have a file to submit.

Here's a resource you should have access to: To directly answer your question, it is 7.0.1-5080.

Another set of reasons for significant disappointment with this offering. Today, October 31, 2022, I received an email from SonicWall indicating that WNM 4.1.7 Maintenance Release was available. I logged into my WNM portal and it displays the following information: So the email notice is two months late. However, going to…

Oh, but it wasn't just ONE breach, it was TWO! "Limited in scope" they say. I thought SonicWall was supposed to stand for security throughout it's portfolio (apparently not in this case...)

Here is the official SW EOL page: And while it states "We may continue to offer security service subscriptions during the End of Support phase" the device you mention is long past that stage. At best, you can use the device as "trade in" via the Secure Upgrade Program. It can be used to obtain a TZ270. Hope that helps!
