Hi, well, another 6 months gone without any progress, 10.2.1.3 (which got pulled) is still struggling when US gets blocked via GeoIP. I provided a solution, but noone care. I can't understand why anyone in their right mind believes that filling a static ipset list can be a viable solution. --Michael@BWC

@ThK connecting with the IP:8443 isn't working? This is usually how I bypass Cert problems, but not sure if this works for revoked certs. You might also block access to the CRL URL. Firefox might be more forgiving on that kind of issue. --Michael@BWC

@Halon5 something is not well with MSW, it's dead slow (spinning) and every 500v variant (VMware, Hyper-V) is listed twice. 10.2.1.3 and 10.2.0.9 which got released last week are not available anymore, which is irritating because I deployed them all over last week considering the many fixes it included. --Michael@BWC

@MikeM there is IMHO no way to accomplish this, you should increase the number of licensed users if possible. --Michael@BWC

Hi @Halon5 the SMA 500v is listed twice in my MSW Download Center, one is empty and the other one is filled with the releases. --Michael@BWC

@kakujing this is by design. depending of the the Zone to which X3 is assigned to, you have to add an Access Rule like this: LAN -> WAN, Any -> X1 IP Address, Ping and you have to check "Allow Management Traffic" on the Optional Settings for that Rule. If your X3 is assigned to WLAN you have to create that Rule from WLAN…

@Sue just follow these steps to factory reset the unit without knowing any old details: --Michael@BWC

@Tg1986 did you checked the MTU on your WAN Interface, it really sounds like a MTU related issue. --Michael@BWC

@Sliderhome evil tongues would say Gen7 firmware is beta in general, but mileage varies I guess. 😇 I'am not aware of any publicly available beta firmware (which is declared as such). --Michael

@sohand yeah it would be great to bind a PPPoE Client and an IP address to the same Interface, but it's not possible on the SonicWall. I do this all on the on Mikrotik devices, but we cannot have it all :) Update: WAN zone because it's treated as untrusted in my opinion. --Michael@BWC

@sohand if your modem has two ports just assign a 2nd Interface from the TZ 470 to the subnet where the modem belongs to. If your modem comes with a single port you need to have a mini-switch inbetween. Attach X1 (your PPPoE WAN) and X2 (Modem subnet) to the switch and your modem as well. Usually I put X2 in the WAN zone…

@Sara this is possible on the SonicWall side, just defined your two hosts as local and remote "network". On the CheckPoint you have specify the custom settings for having a per host session instead of the default per subnet. I remember this from way back where a config file has to be modified on CP, but this seems to be no…

@Vikash_Kumar_Duvea2 not out of the box, that may be accomplished by writing some tool accessing the API. Regarding NSM I cannot tell. --Michael@BWC

@Wolf Destination Address in your Access Rule has to be X1 IP Address. --Michael@BWC

This issue seems to be resolved (again) with the latest Release 10.2.1.3-27sv. --Michael@BWC
