  • Contemporary mode is the evolution of the SonicOS 6.5 interface. Once 6.5 came out I decided to just stick with it and have grown accustomed. I am doing the same with contemporary mode. Like most things, evolve or get left behind. Also IMO, Sonicwall is playing catch-up with its competitors since the Dell acquisition…
  • @Saborbas and @Saravanan Actually 8.6.260 NetExtender version has known compatibility issues with Windows 10. Version 8.6.266 would be the earliest version that has good compatibility with Win10.

  • @Saravanan and @HIS_Daniel I too just ran into this issue on a TZ570, same .464 firmware. The odd thing is that I was able to enable CATP yesterday on a different TZ570 with the same firmware. Selecting the Data Center in the license page does not save, it just keeps prompting to 'Enter Info'. I have not opened a ticket.

  • I second @Ajishlal . SSLVPN is the go-to with a valid SSL certificate and using a well known port such as 443. GVPN overall is slightly more cumbersome to maintain. While you can secure it using SSL certs as well, without a good way to pass new certs to clients you are left to a manual task of updating the client machines.
  • @DIGITHEAD, While you can upgrade directly, personally I would go to an intermediate firmware such as 5.9.1.13 before going to the very latest.
