Good day @Overflow2021 My recommendation is to use SonicOS API. Documentation is available on SonicWall.com -> Support -> Technical Documentation. Gen7 devices are fully API driven and you will be able to fully manage your device. Gen6 devices, are not. Hence, you may not find some of the APIs on Gen6 which are available…

I am glad your issue is resolved @Norsmith
-
@joshuamarius I would suggest to test the connection on another free interface on the firewall to isolate if it is a hardware related.
-
@Norsmith , make sure the Logging Level is set to Inform and you have Events enabled under the Categories and the Event Groups. Also you can use the Packet Monitor utility on the firewall to see the traffic flow to your Syslog Server. The default port is 514/UDP for the Syslog traffic.

@Larry , to upgrade obsolete hardware, I think the best path is to contact our Sales Team. They can walk through the options which are in the best interest of the customer. @muola , I am not sure if you want to pursue that direction but your devices are obsolete. Also, without the security services and up-to-date firmware,…

Hey @muola Excluding your NSA 3600 firewall all the rest of the appliances are end of life. SonicWall PRO 3060: Release date is 2001 running SonicOS 2.0. Amazing to read that the hardware is still working :) but certainly this is end of life long time ago. SonicPoint-N Dual Band: End of life as of 2013 SonicPoint-N: End of…

@Ron_DDC , you have to first unassign the interface which is configured for that zone. If there is any associated Access Rules etc. you may need to delete those also. You should be able to see the error message, if any. Secondly, then you can change the zone type and configure the same interface for that newly changed zone.

@Chojin , the Release Notes document for GVC version 4.10.8 is updated. "Pre-Installation Recommendations" section is changed to "Pre-Installation Requirements", indicating that any existing installation has to be removed first. -@MustafaA

@lrollins1206 You can use the following KB articles to build site to site VPN between the two SonicWall firewalls. You need to review the steps for SonicOS 6.5 section for your TZ 600. Your TZ 215 is an end of life product as of August 2020. The TZ 215 firewalls runs on 5.x firmware which the user interface is slightly…

@lrollins1206 you have two options I can think of. Disable WAN Group VPN on the TZ 215, so that GVC can be utilized behind the TZ 215. Build a site to site VPN connection between TZ 215 and TZ 600. And this will eliminate the need for GVC utilization.

@Chojin , you cannot update to 4.10.8 from any previous versions, it has to be uninstalled first and then installed. The "Pre-Installation Recommendations" section in the Release Notes that you are referencing is incorrect. That was brought up to our Technical Documentation Team's attention a short while ago and that…

Glad I was able to help @phongnd02
-
@phongnd02, the firewall Log Settings is composed of Categories, Groups and Events. Each Event has a Priority and can be enabled/disabled for each Event recipient, namely GUI, Alert, Syslog, Trap, IPFIX, Email. In your case what you need to enable or disable is for the Syslog column. If it is enabled and if an Event is…
