The 6.5 information is in a PDF. You can find SNMP information on page 50. In a nutshell: You must create the users and groups (with the authentication methods and encryption types) and then provide the requisite access to make this work.

I think you want this: Have fun!

@TonyA - in January my TZ270w device rebooted on its own. In February it locked up and required me to pull the plug. Can't wait to see what happens next month...

@TonyA - on my TZ270W that locked up on its own and I had to hard boot to start there is no Core Dump file available. For the client's TZ670 that rebooted arbitrarily (and for which a case is open) yes, there was: 2023-02-12_00-15-30_DP-engine-1_12170_tz670_7.0.1-5095-R3546-H36564-1534.core.zst.gpg The CSR pulled it last…

@Arkwright - the reason I'm asking who did the work is because of my suspicion that they may not have engaged in correct practice(s). Not updating the firmware as a first step means someone didn't follow the new rules of a Gen 7 device. Even then, 7.0.1-5095 was released on Nov 09, 2022. It would have not taken much to…

@samaj I'm confused. You didn't install this - someone else did - and you simply maintain it. Who, exactly, is "their executive"?

Here's one suggestion. Please follow the Getting Started Guide when you install a Gen 7 device. One of the first things you are supposed to do is update the firmware to the current version. Even one month ago, that was Firmware Version 7.0.1-5095. Suggest you update, and report back if that corrects any of the problems you…

Thank you for getting your jollies in today! This KB article clearly assumes knowledge, features, and resources that are far in excess of what I have available in a small business Windows environment - No SSH server, no FTP server. (Never mind the lack of warning that it would take almost 10 minutes to generate the TSR…

Michael, I appreciate that, but it is still a very foreign language. I've got a laptop with PuTTY [that I cannot, for the life of me, get to connect] and TeraTerm that does via the Console cable. Despite the example provided, I still have no idea what "user@server:/home/user/tracelog.wri" is supposed to translate to.

And a sudden update : Version 4.2.0-9 released in February 2023 Reason: WSC-4348Unable to add device even with a valid license. Sheesh!

@Rinconmike - A question for you. If you go to Device - Diagnostics - Tech Support Report and click on the Download Systems Logs button, does it work?

In some cases, using the AdBlock Plus extension from the Google Chrome store may help reduce the initial download of some of the debris, resulting in a completed page. I suggest this as a means of possibly bypassing the problem, not solving it.

You are correct. You can change that setting and it won't affect anything. However, there may be some additional clean-up work on your part. Below is a section from one of my SOPs (standard operating procedure), "Manually remove a SonicWall device from NSM." It was last updated in February 2022, so things may have changed…

I think, but I'm not certain, there's an NSv trial available in MySonicWall. Check My Product Management for Trial Software.

Here are some resources you can use to answer your own questions: Oh, and Google is your friend, too...
