@pmelchiori this might be for you in the newly released 7.0.1-5052 firmware marked as fixed? GEN7-30022 The Search field in the ARP table only allows for the entry of one character. --Michael@BWC

@Larry 7.0.1-5052 lists this as fixed, might be related to your pain. GEN7-28744 Unable to create a cloud backup with the error Cloud backup service is unavailable. --Michael@BWC

@jasni26 you should have a look in the newly released 7.0.1-5052 which addresses some issues regarding HA and nearly 4 pages of other resolved issues. I expected a 5060 release, but I gues we're not there yet. --Michael@BWC

@Computer_Doctor I assume that you have a NAT Rule already in place which translates the public ip/port to your NVR. You might also need an Access Rule from DMZ to DMZ allowing access to the WAN IP/Port. I only remember vageuly if this is all you have to do, because the reply traffic from the NVR will not pass the firewall…

@A_Elliott if you're using VPN Tunnel Interfaces you can add a new rule covering all your remote networks and use the Drop_TunnelIf as the Interface for that route. Use a higher metric for that then your original route, this will drop any VPN remote network related traffic and it will not show up on your WAN interface. For…

@MartinDT I can only answer this as a partner (no affiliation to SNWL). NFR is for partners only and like the name suggests, it's not for resale, where endusers come in place. You need to contact your partner of choice to get a retail product. --Michael@BWC

@gabfot there is no sync between users logged into the SMA and the NSA, the NSA is not aware which AD user is represented by a NetExtender Client IP. It might be possible with Radius (instead of LDAP) and sending the Radius Accounting to the Firewall, but I never used it The SSO API might be another option if you can…

@MartinDT yes, you should contact your SonicWall Partner representative. Excerpt from the NFR Guidelines (downloadable from the SecureFirst Partner Portal): SonicWall® SecureFirst Partner Program Not For Resale Program Guidelines SonicWall is a partner-centric organization and we understand that our partners are an…

A (probably) last follow-up, as a countercheck we removed the mini switch and connected the TZ 270 again directly with the modem and the port flapping returned. So I guess it's quite fair to say that the TZ is not playing well with others in some situations, never had this with the TZ 400 installed prior. Can't say if this…

Quick follow-up, since connecting the X1 interface to a mini switch and from there to the modem the X1 interface stopped flapping. Another test with a new batch of network cables is in progress, if the flapping returns it seems that the network interfaces are a bit picky. --Michael@BWC

@JBjudloman this is a tricky question to answer from the far, but I would try to attach a serial console to see if there are any crash messages when the appliance goes down. If there are no crash reports my best guess would be a hardware failure. Either way, you should get in touch with the Support and hope for the best.…

Did this got ever resolved for you? A customer got a TZ 270 yesterday, connected to a Arris Cable Modem (Vodafone) and since than we're experiencing port flapping on X1 (link down - 3 seconds - link up) in a random interval. The TZ 400 which was installed prior did not had any trouble at all. New patch cable already in…

Another two months past, the world has changed dramatically, but no progress on DMARC. It's good to have some constants in life. I know, I know, devs were busy with log4j and the 2022 date dilemma. 🤬 --Michael@BWC

@Tytec I checked with a rsyslog and the timestamp looks good to me, sent by a 6.5.4.9-93n appliance. The timestamp added by rsyslog is identical to the one sent in the syslog message. Apr 1 16:21:42 myhostname id=firewall sn=18xxxxxx time="2022-04-01 16:21:42" .... --Michael@BWC

@Larry I checked a customer TZ 470 (5051) and a TZ 570 (5030) and it's like @RussF described it, only flipping the entries from top to bottom and vice versa, no sorting. --Michael@BWC
