@dbdan22 long story short, sending packets to a MAC address does not work over Layer 3 (everything routed, such as VPN). Broadcast does not apply here, because you cannot send a broadcast packet into the SSLVPN which ends up in your LAN. I implemented something similar with SonicWall SMA, which comes with a WoL client that…

@MustafaA @Community Manager @Simon can you guys clear this up? Does it work properly for auto update or is the uninstall really necessary? --Michael@BWC
-
@Clemens good point it reads that way that the older version needs to be uninstalled first, which renders an auto update impossible? --Michael@BWC

@dbdan22 WoL does not work out of the box over Layer3 and need some requirements. First of all, WoL using the MAC address will not work obviously so we need a WoL client supporting sending the magic packet to an IP address, Nirsoft seems to do that. This requires a static IP for the client. Second your VPN access settings…

@Clemens SMA (100 series) Firmware 10.2.1.11 got released and it includes NXT 10.2.339 for Windows. --Michael@BWC

@MustafaA UI6 is not supported and I would not recommend this to my customers, "Switching this option off will revert to SonicUI6 for debug only. SonicUI6 is not supported for Gen7 Appliances." Or at leat turn it off when creating a Support Ticket :) --Michael@BWC

@Y2KMAN the login screen is a bit pushy and IMHO not customizable, but at least the pooping bird is no longer flying around :) You can only add a policy banner on the login page, which has to be accepted before logging in. --Michael@BWC

@Reshy as long as "Display Bookmark Table" is selected for your Portal it should show up when you're logged in with that specific user. I guess you're on 10.2.1.10, if not you might check with Release Notes of newer Firmwares for fixed issues. --Michael@BWC

@Fabin you're trying to register an Appliance which you bought as a Trade-In and you have to specify what are your trading in. It can be either an eligible older SonicWall Appliance or competitive product. You should get in touch with the Partner where you got it from to make sure you're qualified for this program.…

@Arkwright for the win, documentation says otherwise, glad to be proven wrong. The NetExtender command line interface is only available on Windows platforms. --Michael@BWC

AFAIK 7.1.1-7047 only fixes the imminent vulnerabilities regarding SSL-VPN (non-authenticated login etc.) to address the CVE. Hopefully more stable release should arrive early March, but don't quote me on that. --Michael@BWC

@Mezzano sadly NetExtender for Linux does not support CLI (at least that is what is documented), so you're stuck with a GUI. But did you had a look at this (use at your own risk): --Michael@BWC
-
@Mezzano are you talking about a text-gui (curses based) or api-wrapper-command or just a simple CLI? If it's the latter why not connecting via SSH to the appliance? Probably not every aspect is configurable via CLI. --Michael@BWC

@HMC did you checked "Products" in your MySonicWall Account, it's usually shown when you click on details of the Product. Update: Yes it is, I checked with a fresh Trial. You might hit refresh to get the full listing of all of your products registered to your account. --Michael@BWC

@JLP I never experienced something like this, you might address this with Customer Support and send them the Activation Key. IMHO they can check when and to what appliance it was registered. --Michael@BWC
