Logs & Alerts -> Settings -> "Device Connection ..." -> "Email" column. I note that even though I was sent alerts yesterday about device connection issue, these events do not appear at Logs & Alerts -> Events. In my experience, the Events list is no use for troubleshooting anything.

I think this guy got something similar working with wire mode (2-port wire): https://community.sonicwall.com/technology-and-support/discussion/5749/setup-routing-between-interfaces-without-allocating-static-ip-on-interfaces-tz570#latest

You sure about this Larry? We don't use Twilio and we get these:
-
You can log traffic on the firewall itself with Appflow Reporting. You can export flows to an external reporting solution with Netflow/ipfix.
-
The standard way to do this would be to create a new VLAN for this traffic in your switching/WLAN platform(s) and a new VLAN subinterface and zone on the firewall to handle the traffic.
-
There are no settings for Spanning Tree in SonicOS for Portshield. So it's either on by default, or not implemented. Either way, you can't configure it.
-
By default on smaller Routerboard, ether1 is a DHCP client. So you could just plug that straight in to X3 of your Sonicwall. How you configure X3 next is up to you. You could either add it to portshield group with X0 then it will be part of your X0 LAN. Or you could create a new Zone for X3 and configure it with a new IP,…

Start with a packet capture. You might need to do this at both ends to see where the replies are getting lost.

IME SSH is far more responsive under load than the web interface ever is. There is no problem leaving SSH enabled permanently if you have the proper ACLs in place, same as with HTTPS.
-
How is the subnet going to be routed to you if you don't have an IP on the interface?
-
Is there a reason why you can't get the TSR with SSH? What's the busiest process [support would surely have checked this anyway]?
-
Try a packet capture. The buffer is limited in size, so it's best to fill in as much as you can in the filtering to restrict the quantity of traffic captured. If you still get too much but cannot find what you are looking for, then try ticking "Dropped Packets Only".
-
What is ipaddress? Does it actually belong to an interface on the firewall?
-
Yep, that's how it's done. If you attempt to do it the wrong way, it will leave a marker in the configuration and Sonicwall support will use this as the reason for any future issue you may have.

Oh the irony....UDP improves performance of RDP sessions. If the only reason for turning it off is Netextender, then it would make more sense to block 3389/UDP from SSLVPN -> LAN so that only Netextender users are affected by this!
